And the 2016 Winner is……
A Clipper!

Out of a group of 12 or 13 Short Wings, one of which was a past grand champion, the 2016 convention judges, Cliff Van Vleet and Kent O’Kelly, picked Clipper N5688H as the grand champion of the Fredericksburg, Texas, convention.
88-Hotel is owned by Steve and Jana Drane, Kerrville, Texas, and went from basket case to champion under their care. “You should have seen her when Steve brought her home,” Jana said. Jana added that Steve did the work of restoring the PA-16, while she kept immaculate records.
