Hi there – Just a reminder that our next fly-in will be a week from tomorrow, Sat. Aug. 5th, with the 6th the rain date, to the Red Mill Restaurant on the field at Basin Harbor, Vermont (B06-Bravo Zero six). We’ll meet at noon. Check the go/no go email after 7:30 am on Sat./Sun. and email me if you expect to come. It gets busy here and we’d like to give management a heads up about seating. It’s a great turf field, 3000′, 2-20, CTAF 122.8, no fuel on the field. Our next fly-in will be our “annual bash” at Marcia & Zene Garnsey’s on Sat. 9/2 with the 3rd the rain date. More on this to follow. I have not heard from Zene, so i assume that this date is still good. Just got back from Europe and am off to the wilds of the Berkshires (Tanglewood). I’ll hope to see you up at Basin Harbor on the 5th – Andy
Good evening – The weather for the first part of the day on Saturday will probably be a tour de force of mother nature with some heavy thuderstorms until it clears out. Sunday is being touted as a “pick of summer” by one of the local NY weather forcasters. Let’s just do it Sunday. Plan to be at the Red Mill restaurant on the field at basin Harbor, Vt. (B06 – bravo zero six) at noon. Basin Harbor has a great turf 3000′ runway 2/20, ctaf is 122.8, no fuel on the field. Some nearby fields with 100LL are Middlebury, Vt., Ticonderoga, & Glens Falls, NY. Look for the go/no-go email after 7:30 am on Sunday, but it looks real good (you’ve heard that before). I hope to see some of you there. If you plan on making it, please email me so I can give the folks at the Red Mill an fair count for the table; they’ll probably be busy. I hope to see some of you there. Hey – bring a bathing suit & towel. The beach is a short walk from the restaurant! Safe flying to you all – Andy
